Project Details
The MUSAMI project on São Miguel Island in the Azores is an ambitious initiative aimed at improving waste management and environmental sustainability. The project involves the development of an integrated waste management system, known as the ECOPARQUE project. This system includes various infrastructures designed to handle different types of waste and improve overall waste management efficiency: Waste to Energy Plant, Material Recovery Facility, Biological Treatment Centre, Leachate Treatment Plant, Landfill Sites. The project aims to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, increase recycling rates, and generate energy from non-recyclable waste.
